From MTM Training to MLS NEXT Cup Champion: The Aaron Sanchez Story

At 15 years old Aaron Sanchez had the talent. What he needed was the right system and the right people behind him.

The Setup

A few weeks before the MLS NEXT Cup Aaron came to Coach Andrew at MTM with one goal, show up ready.

Playing for Total Futbol Academy's U16 squad as a number 10 and false 9 Aaron was already one of the most technically gifted players at his level. But talent alone doesn't win championships. And Aaron knew it.

The Transformation

Coach Andrew worked closely with Aaron on preparation, performance, and positioning him in front of the right people. The most noticeable transformation wasn't physical.

It was his confidence.

The version of Aaron who walked into MTM and the version who stepped onto that MLS NEXT Cup final field were two completely different players. Same talent. Different mentality.

At this level, mentality is everything.

The Moment

MLS NEXT Cup Finals. The biggest stage in American youth soccer.

Coach Andrew personally reached out to D1 coaches and pro academy staff throughout the tournament to make sure Aaron's performances didn't go unseen.
